Everyday commuting habits leave emotional traces. Some traces become monsters.
An independent postgraduate design and research prototype exploring emotional expression, memory and anonymous city patterns through speculative storytelling.
CONCEPT
Why the Underground
Waiting, rushing, signal loss and crowded interchanges make hidden feelings unusually visible. The Underground becomes a fictional habitat—not a diagnostic instrument or navigation service.
TRANSFORMATION
How emotion becomes a monster
Observed behaviours are interpreted as emotional traces, then translated into colour, shape, movement, station habitat and a compassionate response.
MEMORY MODEL
Three boundaries, one clear choice
Anonymous Community
An optional identity-free story without voice, precise routes or identifiable photos.
Aggregated City Insight
Only station, time band and emotion after a minimum anonymous sample.
PRIVACY AND CARE
Designed to remember carefully
- Voice never enters community or city data
- Community content excludes real identity
- City departments cannot access personal records, accounts, voices or precise routes
- Users can delete memories and local sharing drafts
- No medical diagnosis or treatment
